Post-Secondary Pathways to the Health Workforce

This interactive session will provide attendees with direct access to representatives from 2- and 4-year degree programs, certification programs, on-the-job training programs, and industry-specific institutions. These folks are excited to answer questions and share information about next steps for students as they graduate from high school, from 2yr or 4yr institutions, or are adults who have decided to change career paths or enter back into the workforce. Representatives will host table discussions about their organizations and their expectations of and for students, including insights about courses, plans of study, admission, navigating the financial aid process, and the opportunities for other sources of financial support to include scholarships. The goals of this session are to; (1) Provide attendees with the information they need to work with their students at their respective institutions, and (2) To provide employers with the opportunity to learn what students are in the pipeline and how they are being prepared for the workforce.
